Interviewing founder of Wayed Vintage and one of the Arab world’s most influential fashion bloggers, Dana Wolley, was one of the most thrilling tasks I had to accomplish for the luxury bridal boutique. The gorgeous Dana who tied the knot in Beirut on July 29 in the most fairytale-like setting was dressed by no other than Esposa on her big day. And I was among the lucky ones to meet her and live all the frenzy excitement of a bride, days before her wedding, even if for few minutes. Head over heels, Dana was hadn’t slept for the last 24 hours when I saw her at the downtown boutique of Esposa Prive. Despite her exhaustion, she radiated with beauty and energy, and couldn’t stop talking about how excited she was to try her Esposa dream dress. Sitting beside her in Esposa’s private salon and listening to the preparation details of her wedding, I quickly understood that Dana was no ordinary bride and that her wedding was definitely going to one of Lebanon’s most outstanding and memorable luxurious events. A lover of all things vintage with an eye on innovation and an inclination for modern and avant-garde, Dana wanted it all, in every detail of her wedding look. Searching for months for ideas and inspiration, she couldn’t find what she wanted and decided to customize something that would reflect her unique taste and personality. The day I met Dana was one of her last pre-wedding fitting and shooting sessions. So yes, you can imagine the excitement, fear and thrill that were filling Esposa’s private room that afternoon. After describing her months of hesitation, confusion, and frustration followed by her six months of back and forth collaboration with Esposa Lebanon, with all the challenges and hard work it required to conceive and create a dress that would finally decode the dreams of the famous Dana, all breaths were held while the bride was trying her gown behind the curtains and all eyes were waiting for that glorious moment. I really couldn’t believe my eyes when Dana walked in. She was the most stunning bride I’ve seen and her elegance compared to the glamour of royalties and divas. Far from being the typical white wedding gown, the dress resembled a rare piece of gem glittering with thousands of gold and silver Swarovski stones, of different color shades and shapes. With two months of heavy beading work and a whole team dedicated to execute the astounding and matchless design and meticulous details of the dress, among which two designers and five handworkers assigned only for the 40 meters of tulle couture, the bridal gown was nothing short of a marvel. While the wavy infinite lines and the off-shoulder top accentuated the graceful silhouette of Dana, the meters of tulle gave her a royal appearance that flattered even more her femininity and utmost elegance. Esposa was also the designer of Dana’s customized headpiece. After spending months looking for the perfect accessories, the bride decided to resort to Esposa’s expertise to design her own unique pieces that reflected her distinguished and trendsetting personality. A mix of vintage, modern and classic, the lightly beaded pieces were elegantly and meticulously designed to discreetly complete the overall royal look of this stunning bride. Once again, Esposa contributes to make a big dream come true. The dream of a happy day and the start of an everlasting happy life. Once again, a true work of art is created through the innovation and dedication of a great team, and this time, I was there to get a small taste of this greatness.
