Celebrities in their Wedding Dresses

Are you looking for some inspirational wedding dresses? We all look up to celebrities for inspiration whether they are on the red carpet or sporting their everyday style. We also like to know what they wore on their wedding day. Your big day can be an occasion for you to wear the prefect wedding dress and feel like a true celebrity. Check out what these eight special ladies wore on their wedding day!    1- Amal Alamuddin The Lebanese-British lawyer made the headlines on the 27th of September 2014, for something else than her humanitarian engagement, when she married the ultimate bachelor, actor George Clooney. The wedding ceremony took place in Venice, Italy, and was packed with stars and celebrities. But the bride was obviously the one to get all the attention, especially when the world saw her Oscar de La Renta wedding gown. The dress was composed of layers of ivory tulle on which fourteen yards of Chantilly lace were sewed. Its beautiful bodice was also hand embroidered with beading and crystals.   Amal-Alamuddin   2- Salma Hayek Mexican actress with Lebanese origins, Salma Hayek, got married to French billionaire François-Henri Pinault in 2009. The wedding ceremony, which also took place in Italy’s most romantic city, Venice, was packed with Hollywood idols and fashion designers. The guests were invited to wear Venetian masks to celebrate the union of the couple in typical Venetian masked ball tradition. Salma wore an amazing full-skirted ivory gown with a silver-embroidered V-neck bodice. She swept her hair back into a bun and added a long veil for the perfect finish.   Salma-Hayek   3- Anne Hathaway Oscar-winner Anne Hathaway married her actor beau Adam Shulman on the 29th of September 2012, after a one-year engagement. The wedding took place in a private estate in Big Sur, California, and was attended by a 100 family members and friends. The decoration was reportedly inspired by nature, with lots of branches both at the ceremony and reception. Anne’s retro-romantic theme didn’t stop there: her off-the-shoulder wedding gown was a vintage-inspired creation, with intricate details and delicate embroideries. Her headpiece and veil completed her look and provided a beautiful solution for her short hair, which she had to cut for her role in “Les Misérables.”   Anne-Hathaway   4- Ashley Tidsale High School Musical star Ashley Tidsale got married to musician Christopher French in a secret ceremony near Santa Barbara in California, USA. The wedding took place on September 8, 2014, and the bride confessed that it’s like she “married her best friend”. One of her bridesmaids was her Disney co-star and close friend Vanessa Hudgens, who got very emotional during the ceremony, saying the bride “looked like an angel.” The Blonde newlywed looked gorgeous indeed in a body-hugging lace wedding dress by Monique Lhuillier. The gown fitted her figure perfectly, and her flower crown added a touch of romance that did the trick.   Ashley-Tisdale   5- Victoria Beckham Victoria and David Beckham have been married for so long that it’s hard to remember them apart. But looking back at pictures of Victoria Adams (her maiden name) on her wedding day, the singer already had an impeccable sense of style. The bride wore a champagne strapless Vera Wang gown with a 20-foot train. It is believed that she set the trend since then, July 4, 1999, for strapless wedding dresses. She also wore an 18-carat gold crown encrusted with diamonds in her hair. The ceremony was spectacular but very private, as only 29 friends and family members got to witness the couple’s marriage in Luttrellstown Castle, Dublin, Ireland.   Victoria-Beckham   6- Megan Fox Megan Fox got herself one of the most beautiful Hallmark-card-picture worthy weddings. She got married on the 24th of June 2010 to her fiancé Austin Green, at sunset on one of Hawaii’s most beautiful deserted beaches. She almost looked like a mermaid when she walked on the beach barefoot, in a strapless white gown with a train and a flowing veil. Although she already looked like she was breezing through the waves, she chose a refreshing bouquet of white roses and gardenias. Her groom and his son were also sporting and all white relaxed look, which fit perfectly in the intimate sunset wedding picture.   Megan-Fox   7- Jenna Dewan When Channing Tatum married his co-star girlfriend, Jenna Dewan, on the 11th of July, 2009, Step Up fans rejoiced all over the world. But the couple traded their usual hip-hop clothes for fairy tale-like outfits, and looked gorgeous while getting married in a private estate in Malibu, California. Indeed, the couple chose a fairy theme for their outdoor ceremony, and the bride looked out of this world in a strapless gown with a sweetheart neckline and feathered skirt. She completed her look with a long veil that she fixed on a low bun, and beautiful earrings.   Jenna-Dewan   8- Kate Middleton Prince William and Kate’s wedding made girls dream of their fairy tale wedding once again. It is considered as one of this century’s most important weddings, and there’s a reason for it: it was viewed live by hundreds of millions around the world, and brought the monarchy closer to the people, as a prince –and future king- married a commoner. But the most famous aspect of this royal wedding was definitely Kate’s wedding dress. Her vintage gown awed more than one, with its long train and boned bodice with a curving sweetheart neckline and a detail-filled full skirt. She kept the spirit of tradition alive by choosing full-length laced sleeves with elaborate design and hand-sewn flowers, and honoured seasonal flowers by choosing Lilies of the Valley, sweet William, Hyacinth and a royal tradition must: a sprig myrtle for her bouquet.   Kate-Middleton   You can check out our infographic if you want additional information about different styles of wedding gowns.   This was our selection of celebrities in their wedding dresses.
