The most-awaited bridal trend of the year is here with the Spring creations of the world’s most talented fashion designers. This can only mean one thing: that the latest bridal trends will be soon in our stores at Esposa Verdun, dbayeh & Abudhabi & Esposa Prive’ downtown Beirut & Dubai, and what’s sure is that they’ve never been so daring!
For all the lucky brides-to-be hunting the perfect dress down, Esposa brings you the hit bridal trends that will reinvent the wedding look of the season in the most unconventional ways!
1- The non-white wedding dress
This season’s designs make white look too mainstream. With pantone colors widely approved amongst collections, pink takes over as the non-white bridal color of the season. Lazaro proves it better with their ivory and blush ombre gown that dazzles the eye with its beautiful hand-draped bodice and draped skirt.
2- Bare those shoulders
The off-the-shoulder cut hits hard this year, making its way to one of the top trends of the runway. Chic or boho, it never fails to add romance to the feminine silhouette. For off-shoulder lovers, check Marchesa’s elegant gowns or Oscar de la Renta’s exquisite tulle-shoulder-drop model.
3- Sexy plunges
2018 trends are definitely for the bold bride. If you can’t bear a deep plunge, you’ve been warned! With ever so deep plunging V necks, designers seem to clearly make a statement this year, and Ines di Santo is no doubt reigning in that department. Her designs strike with deep-plunge bodices that scream “sexy” in every way.
4- Illusion: not an illusion
Speaking of illusion, there is certainly plenty of it in this year’s dresses! Cuts-outs and illusion necklines and sleeves reiterated the shout-out for skin-baring choices, resulting in elegantly sexy creations addressing modern brides. Zuhair Murad stole our breaths away with their divine embroidered or lace-appliqued illusion bodices along with others like Monique Lhuillier, Ines di Santo, and Lazaro.
5- Trains, Veils & Capes
Those classic elements made a dramatic statement this year, designed again for the bold bride. Accentuated with embroidery, motifs and beads, the 2018 trains, veils, and capes were chosen to complete the lush creations of the bridal week. From Marchesa’s extra-long sheer tulle veil to her floral lace-embroidered romantic bridal cape, to this Victor and Rolf’s daring and elegant train, Esposa’s brands did not hesitate to go bold with their bridal elements.
6- Oversized Bows
Oversized bows took over the runway this year, proving that royal elegance is timeless. Another way to exaggerate shapes this season, the ball gowns were mainly noticed on Viktor & Rolf and Oscar de la Renta’s models, silk faille, Mikado draped, or organza-embroidered. De la Renta was joined fervently by Ines Di Santo who combined classic with a touch of modern in her dresses, adapting the oversized bows to the woman of today.
7- Menswear in Bridal Wear
Carolina Herrera was again the name on everyone’s lips when it came to menswear-inspired “separates” designed for the brides that love their masculine side. From embellished sweater andtulle skirt to jumpsuits, to a beautiful ivory silk crepe pant and top combination, CH’s signature was warmly welcomed, backed up by Oscar de la Renta’s relaxed ivory suit which captivated the unconventional eyes. The latest creations of designers Oscar de la Renta, Lazaro, Monique Luillier, Marchesa, Ines di Santo, Viktor & rolf and more are found exclusively at Esposa Prive in Lebanon and UAE.
